I have noticed that I go through cycles of high and low productivity, wondering why I can&#039;t be more consistent.  It may be a sign that you need to give yourself some rest so you can be more effective later.  Or, clean off the desk and get reorganized so you can work more efficiently.  I often stop and make a written list of what I need to do right now, in minute detail, so I can easily cross off several items for a sense of accomplishment.  Above all, realize that you are a finite being, cut yourself some slack, and do long-term things to set yourself up for success
