That is what I have to do coming up on April 11th. I live in a city that offers below market incubation office space for up and coming businesses. If I want to get one of these spaces I have to pitch my business to them at noon on April 11th. I have to update a business plan, show past and future financials, show my resume/CV, and give a presentation about why I am worthy of getting one of these spaces. I am not asking for money or a loan - just office space. If I am able to get this space there are business and tax benefits that my company gets to take advantage of for several years to come.
This is a very exciting time for my business. Am I scared? No.. not really. However I am very focused on making sure I get my presentation right. This is where ALL of my Toastmasters skills will be put to the test. I will need to convince these people via my words and my actions that I know what I am talking about, and that I am worthy of a investment in time and effort.
Have you ever had to do this? If so what would you say are the places where I need to spend the most time to make sure I convey the right message?
