If I am ever convicted of a crime and I run for us public office, do not vote for me.
I’m begging you 100% do not vote for me.
If you’re looking at a ballot and it says dingleberry McFarzelot and Patrick Almond and you’re thinking Patrick Almond, that guy that got convicted, that’s a non choice, that’s a non option. The debate is over. At that particular point in your mind, I’m begging you, make that debate over. I may still be able to participate in the political process somehow, but not as an official representative of the government regardless of my party. This has nothing to do with party affiliation.
I want to see us raise the level of debate and raise the level of intellect and raise the bar on the standards as to the people we should put in public office again, regardless of political affiliation.
Let’s make our politicians better by electing better politicians.
We just got to do better.
