Hey, do yourself favor and stop doom scrolling for a second.
There are two things you absolutely need to know right now. One is there is a preponderance, a bum rush, if you will, a lot of fake text messages being sent to people. If you ever get a text message that is from a random number you don’t know, and it pretends to be somebody who’s looking for information, like …”Hey Bob, we met last night, how are you?” That’s a fake message. That’s somebody in a third world country trying to get some information from you and being your friend to rip you off.
What’s going to happen is once they become familiar with you, they’re going to try to sell you some nudity or sell you some bitcoin. Block them, block them.
And the second one is, be careful of any social media video of a celebrity endorsing anything. A lot of them are fake right now. Somebody take my face, my lips, the tone of my voice, and create a completely fake Patrick and make me say anything to try to rip you off.
Okay, avoid both of them.
