I have a confession for you.  

A lot of the days I wake up, I am not motivated or inspired to do Jack.  

There are plenty of days I don’t know the percentage. It’s not most. It’s a lot where I just wake up and I’m laying on my pillow and I’m like … I would rather sit here all day. But then those gears get going. I start thinking about my past self-talk, which is what most of these blog posts and videos are for. And I remember that I don’t want to break habits. I don’t want to break patterns.  

There’s this thing called the “X effect”, which I read about on Reddit where we get in the habit of checking things off and we just don’t want to break that habit. So that on some days, that’s my motivations. I don’t want to miss my checkbox day! 

It’s not I’m terribly inspired or I’m going to fly out of bed with my capo unmotivated. I just want to keep the habit going, keep the checkboxes going, because I hate unbroken streaks.  

So, another way to look at life …!!!

Aspire to be a better version of yourself than you were yesterday.
