I have been spending some time recently doing business and marketing development for my IT Consulting company Focus Consulting (allaboutfocus.com. When I was strategizing recently with a lady from the local college we had to come up with phrases that describe how I want my business to function. One of the many… many… MANY phrases I came up with is:
“I want Focus Consulting to be a happy place to work”
That is something I truly in my heart believe in. I never want people to drag themselves into the office. I want people to want to come in, to want to craft better technology solutions, to want to work longer hours when the project dictates. It makes no sense to me to work otherwise. And when you have a work place like that is it really “work”.
